There is a nice XOR mixer in the 9046 PLL chip. Also a dual F/F mixer. Don't use other versions of the 4046. They have detector dead spots.
You also have the advantage of being able to use them with signals from about 100 mV to 5V. I haven't used the chip for the purpose mentioned.
