Hi Unfortunately there are (and have been) a number of gizmos out there with 1pps outputs that are far from "timing grade" parts. Often the reason is that the manufacturer doesn't have a TimeNut on staff (with a pile of gear) to ring the bugs out of the part. Without some careful debug, there are inevitably going to be issues.

But you can add an external one. But why use this for timing? They don't even give a spec for timing accuracy and it is likely NOT a timing GPS. It is a navigation unit. Pretty much useless for timing. Also the price is to high. You can do better in eBay, real timing units sell for as little as $15.
