GREEN LIGHT!!! My last step was to twiddle the two pots (R3 and R11) on the multiplier back and forth a few times (setting them back to their original setting afterwards). 2nd harmonic popped up and is steady. I hit the Logic Reset, and the green light is ON! Error was pretty close to zero, I can get the Integrator Limit light to come on if I rock the Oscillator Coarse control enough in either direction, which all seems good, right?
My counter reads 5.000 000 022, which is probably about as accurate as the counter is good for. This instrument has a little blue HP sticker on the back that says option H52. What is that? Thanks to all for your support and emails. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jim/Anna McIntyre <[email protected]> Date: Tue, Dec 8, 2015 at 4:23 PM Subject: Fwd: 5065 ?? direct To: Discussion of precise time and frequency measurement <[email protected] > Paul, I have a 350 MHz scope, HP5335A, various power supplies, DVMs, and sig gens up to 1 GHz. Kind of helps to understand what approaches could be used to figure it out. Funny I have a HP5061 CS its a true Frankenstein in reality using a 5060 tube. Absolutely on its last fumes. I have had a funny offset forever in it and finally figuring what the issue really seems to be. Crazy stuff.
