Anyone who has the Russian mob as their enemy, and is dependent on accurate time, is an absolute idiot if they depend on pool for their timekeeping needs. OTOH, considering that the US government runs several prominent time servers, and Bush hasn't yet found a reason to bomb Russia, it seems unlikely the Russian mob is targeting timeservers. And don't underestimate how destructive spammers can be... While a large criminal organization can certainly take a server off the net (just like a random IRC skript kiddie), spammers threaten to destroy email as a useful communication tool. _______________________________________________ timekeepers mailing list [email protected] https://fortytwo.ch/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo/timekeepers
