I worked at AOL as the Sr. Internet Mail Administrator. I
probably have as much or more anti-spam experience than most anyone
else on the planet. There are people who know more about the subject
than I do, but they can be counted on just one or two hands.
I know how destructive spammers can be, and I know how very few
SKR1PT K1DD3S it takes to knock even a site like AOL completely off
the 'net. All it takes is a few morons with DSL connections and some
software designed to spew out packets as fast as they can, and you
are well and truly screwed. If they only have modem connections, it
takes a few more of them. But not that much more.
Been there, done that, was on the receiving end of more than a
few spews directed towards the hundred-plus mail servers I was
running. Made up the design for the t-shirt on CafePress and then
ordered myself one.
