UltraDNS runs a few of the root DNS servers, and they also provide
this service. We looked at it a while ago at my company, but decided
paying for two geographically separate datacenters was just too
expensive for us at the time. THe UltraDNS service was far cheaper
than Akamai, though.

UltraDNS could be interested in providing geographic service to
something like pool.ntp.org, if only to have a case study to show how
well their service scales. Unfortunately, my contact there is no
longer with the company, so I can't offer much in the way of
relationship-building.
