I run one (usenet.net.nz) of the five DNS servers for pool.ntp.org. I see around 5-10 DNS queries per second. I'm not sure what the others get ( mine is in New Zealand right now so probably gets less) but the load isn't very high even with the low TTLs. I believe options for balancing the load more evenly via DNS are being looked at. -- Simon J.
