The way I do this is just make sure the ip address of the server goes to
a web page.  So if you see a ton of "strange" traffic coming from me I
would hope that the person would try going to that ip as a web page to
see if there's contact information.  Right on the first page I mention
this is running an NTP pool server and link to stats.  Till then you
have people thinking that seeing 6k clients as a sign that I have a
botnet of 6k computers and using it to spam people :/
