Just to make my former point clear I don't believe that database independence right now should be a priority. I think there are some other topics like improving report generation, B.I. integration, faster developer tools, etc.
I haven't done consulting for any Fortune 500 but in my experience with SMEs (and I've had quite a few of those) tought me that I shall have more difficulties selling the "open source" idea or explaining how Python is not a toy for geeks compared to "bussiness ready" Java than selling Postgresql. In fact... I've never faced that issue: Postgresql has a big and long record of success stories to tell. So, if I can express my opinion about priorities on future developments of TinyERP I won't vote for database independence. However I did vote (with my money, by the way) the development of the new NET-RPC interface or the development of some modules that now belong to the code base. It shouldn't be difficult to get a quote from Fabien. Regards, Pedro _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman/listinfo/tinyerp-users
