Would I fund the whole thing, no. Would I be willing to contribute to a common fund for this purpose, sure.
What I think is needed is for someone, perhaps Fabien, to setup some Paypal accounts for these purposes so that we might contribute toward them. And he could enlist some of the developer partners in these efforts. The first of these funds should be as follows and in this order: 1.) Payroll 2.) Support for MySQL database. 3.) Support for Open Document Format I thnk many of us would be willing to contribute to these efforts. First it should be estimated what the effort would cost. And then when that total is reached, the project is undertaken. This is how I think it should work.
