Our experience is with 4.2.x. We use only the eTiny web server because end 
users can be running PCs or Macs or Linux PCs. I have used the GTK client 
between North America and Europe several times but the round-trip delays make 
this quite a slow experience.

For one client we have never had to restart a server to fix a problem (although 
we do restart servers every 3 months or so as part of a regime of upgrades). 
That's on Debian. Other projects are still in development and servers are 
restarted every few weeks (and often more frequently) because of that. They're 
on Ubuntu.
