Thank you that worked well. I first stopped terp, then restarted to import the
translations:

> --i18n-import=/opt/openerp.c2c/server/bin/i18n/fr_FR.csv"
> .... lots of other messages..

Then restarted Terp normally.
I now see the translated Statement Letter correctly.
Followup: it would be nice if the core Terp crew picked up on this thread and
corrected the based english and french messages :-)

No, as far as I know, for translations, you need to do:
-l fr_FR --i18n-import=PATH_TO_YOUR_CSV_FILE/fr_FR.csv
Also, I think you need to select the database you want to apply such
change or it will be done only to the default one (terp) (-d
YOUR_DATABASE)
