Hi, Its all relative. OpenERP is not as open in the sense community oriented as some other Floss.
However there are been huge changes over the last year (since I first noticed TinyERP in Jan'08), all sources are visible, there are developers days, more open discussions, development is managed on launchpad, IRC discussions, criticism seems more acceptable.. Tiny and the Resellers are aiming for a balanced community/commercial model: which is understandable. Long term commercial support is a good thing to be sure, especially for Accounting and ERP software. So OpenERP as a Floss project has come along way, of couse it still needs to go further, e.g. getting community patches integrated and keeping community programmers motivated. Hope that helps.. -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=33920#33920 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman/listinfo/tinyerp-users
