I think his Fear, Uncertaincy and Doubt is sincere.
Installation does not work even with all default clean ubuntu 9.04. If a person
wants to evaluate openERP there is realy no other place than forum to go.

Downloadable, preconfigured vmware ubuntu would cut such questions incredibly:
1st those wanting to evaluate OERP would download VM, instead of trying
configure themselves.
2nd you can reasonably require that person reporting a bug would test it first
on reference VM - to find if his installation is screwed or that's general.

@vmajor
If you need openerp-native stuff, then it is located in two folders
/usr/lib/openerp-server >5000files >50mb
/usr/lib/openerp-client >150files ~0.8mb
. And here is one file /etc/init.d/openerp-server.
and here is file /etc/openerp-server.conf.

If you want to remove all dependant libraries, I can't help.

But if you just try to fix it, then you better check that you have those
folders with application files. If yes, see instructions for install on ubuntu
9.04. (You need download a non package library and need to configure postgre
logins and openerp conf files).

To set expectations right: The only install that "just works" is
windows-all-in-one. Linux installations never work, if you follow setup
instruction you undestand that there is no way it could.

Just don't give up :). You can setup it.
