:D true, OpenERP business model is geared towards paid support.

This is actually not a bad thing, but the transition from "unpaid suffering" to
"paid support nirvana" should be a bit gentler.

As it is, it is even hard to start evaluating the OpenERP system which actually
decreases the potential revenue for Tiny/Axelor.

In any case, I got OpenERP running on Centos 5.3 by installing PostgreSQL 8.3.8
and Tomcat6 and all the supporting libraries and extensions.

I also realized that some modules included in "Additional Extensions" do not
actually work.

So for anyone else who is struggling to evaluate OpenERP, install OpenERP from
the tarball, not bzr, do not install any "Additional extensions", and upgrading
to the latest stable PostgreSQL and Tomcat6 version seems to make it work.

Overall, now that OpenERP is up and running, my impressions are excellent. It
is easy to use and the functionality seems very good. My hope is that the
installation stays stable and that I do not get a spontaneous database
corruption again.
