I think also you need to understand a little of what happened with 5.2/6.0 5.2 was going to be a point increase with a new interface over the existing infrastructure.
Instead 6.0 is a new UI, and quite a deep investigation of improving the UI, in terms of aesthetics, and complete redesign of ease of use. It's certainly a substantial piece of work, fixing many of the issues that plagued vers5.0's usability. I don't think Open ERP have really quite explained this to their customers that well, but they are trying. A new website is also planned to launch for 6.0 I believe.
