As hda says, there's no need to start and stop recording if you plan to use the 'from date-time' option. As I understand it the recording function is to allow you to make your changes in a database that may be in use by other people without saving their changes too. With your own dedicated database this is not necessary. In fact the start and stop menus seem to have been removed in trunk. > About the "directory name" . Here's my prescription for fixing the module_recorder interface: First screen- If user enters a 'Record from date' show all objects with matching changes but no others. If the user still manages to select only objects with no changes tell them so; currently it just says 'Thanks for using Module Recorder'. Second screen - 'Module Name' field should be called 'Short Description' to match the Admin->Module Management->Modules list. 'Directory Name' should be called 'Name' for the same reason. Put it before the 'Short Description' field. 'Author' should not default to 'OpenERP SA'. If possible 'Category' should be a selection box. All these fields should have helpful help text. Third screen - It says 'Module successfully created!'. It should say 'Module created, please save it!'. The save button should be next to the filename. Or better, the big 'Close' button should be a big 'Save' button. The 'Module .zip file' field should be called 'File size' since that's what it shows. -------------------- m2f -------------------- -- http://www.openobject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=59756#59756 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ Tinyerp-users mailing list http://tiny.be/mailman2/listinfo/tinyerp-users
