Hristo, I still don't get what the problem is. If both the tmotes and the zigbits are running TinyOS 2.x, then you can set them to whatever channel you want. Just make sure that they're on the same channel, and they will communicate.
The rf230 radio stack and the cc2420 stack are compatible, I have verified it with iris and micaz motes. I have not checked iris-tmote compatibility, though, but, since it's the same code, I strongly believe that they are also compatible.
