I've read in the forum that there are three main values for signal  
quality (tinyos, tossim 2.x) :

- the power which traduce the signal power  (i've read in tossim the  
power is set up to 0 dB and then it is equal to gain value entered)
- the gain which is the extenuation of the signal into the space
- the noise floor(NF) which traduce the pertubation over the signal


there is also :

- SNR (signal to noise ratio) : equal to the difference or the ratio  
between the noise and the signal (so if my gain is equal to -4db and  
my NF is equal to -90dB, SNR= -4--90 = 86dB )

Does this following points are correct?

- the SNR traduces the distance between the noise and the signal and  
so the bigger it is the better the signal become

- the noise floor in TOSSIM is given by the meyer-heavy.txt file  
values (expressed in dB and corresponding to RSSI) or by the values  
after noise in the linggain.out file

- i've read that on real hardware, the RSSI must a be positive value...

- tossim doesn't allow to set up the signal power so Power = Gain?

- i try a constant value for the RSSI (-55) but my simulation  
prematurely stop , i've given 150 noise tracings for each sensor. what  
is wrong? why tossim stops the simulation? (my gain is equal to 0 for  
each pairs)
