At least one tenured professor at a Canadian university was let go (fired) for failing to adequately perform his academic duties (i.e., teaching, research, service). It was a laborious process, as you can imagine, that involved documenting short-comings, providing opportunities to correct performance, and leaving a solid paper-trail of these efforts. The final stage was a court-like hearing that lasted (I believe) for several days. Best wishes Jim ============================================================================ James M.
