>Hello All!
>We are busy selecting an intro book for the next few years (everyone in the

>1. How many of you use an essential (briefer, etc.) book? What are the
>advantages/disadvantages to using one?

I use a real text for real students- Kalat.

>
>2. How many of you take into consideration cost of the textbook?

Never do. They sell them back at the end of the term so it comes out to
about $2-$3 a week. When I was a student, they didn't buy back books. Some
crazy idea that a college grad should have a personal library.

>you do, do you use different books?

No. Some become psych majors later, some drop out of psych.
