Dangerously postmodern. :-) The research I perform as a scientist is
empirical. The research I read of others is taken on authority. 

BTW, which part of it should be anagrammed (just "hearsay", the whole
sentence, or both sentences)? When you get past one word, the list of
possibilities is exceedingly long.
