I was asked to review chapters of a HS Intro text which the publishers did not expect me to use since I do not teach the course it was designed for. I assumed that the reviewers were selected based on their experience teaching and familiarity with the material they reviewed and this discussion is the first time I have heard this alternate possibility being proposed.
