I was going to sent this off list but figured Christopher wouldn't mind. He has a very nice article in the most recent issue of History of Psychology on Coleman Griffith and his pioneering program in Sports Psychology, including his work with the Chicago Cubs. I knew of Griffith only by his Intro text from the early '20s and had no idea this was his main area of research.
