Fellow Tipsters: At the risk of being argumentative, because I do see your point, I think what should make us wonder is the societal pressures etc.(c.f., Chomsky) that would lead to a group of professional psychologists who are a little to willing to generalize our response to a flashed breast and/or the gratuitous violence of the game. :) What I've been hearing on the list is more well represented by a mixture of not caring about either event or caring some about one or the other but not both. So I think we are probably over extending our point to attribute any particular perspective to us as a group. Besides, I should probably not say anything since I a) walked out on the game with 1:09 left and don't feel the slightest loss for it, b) didn't see most of the rest of the game, the commercials, the streaking, or the "staged" accidental revealing of Janet's parts. The wisest point made on the list so far was that this was so obviously a publicity stunt and it surely seems to have worked for that. Let's not forget that the game, the half time, and the commercials are all part of the SAME larger source. They are all entertainment and we either were or were not entertained by them. I'd rather go back to the bookstore which, lest I get to feeling at all sanctimonious, is also largely entertainment. :) Tim _________________________________________________ Timothy O.
