Hi Rick,
This may be somewhat unrelated to your direct questions, but I seem to remember TIPS had a discussion of sexual education in the last year. Some Tipsters had posted their views on various Sex Ed philosophies. Some (educators) prone abstinence because teenagers cannot make rational decisions when in the heat of the moment. Others prone educating teens to make good choices, rather than telling them what to do.

I remember one Tipster saying that if teens cannot make rational decisions (such as putting on a condom before intercourse) what makes one believe thay can make the decision to abstinate?

I don't have time to search the TIPS archive, but you may luck out and get some ieas from there... Perhaps other Tipsters remember when we had this discussion?

Good luck. This will most likely be a fascinating course!!!

Cheers!

Jean-Marc
