Well, it's a little more honorable than that.  You have to be nominated by a student who herself/himself has been selected by his/her college for inclusion in "Who's Who Among America's College Students."  The student may select only one teacher for this honor.

I'm a "multiple year honoree" and I'm proud of it.  I think it's worth mentioning, although it's clearly not based on selection by a jury of your peers.  Nor, of course, does it take more than one individual student's "vote" for inclusion in any selected year.

We have an applicant who cites her inclusion in "Who's Who AMong America's Teachers" under "Academic Honors and Awards" section of her VITA.   Is it really an honor?   Is it selective at all?   I was always under the impression that getting on the directory was as easy as saying you want to be on the list.
