The psychology department of Lebanon Valley College is accepting applications
for a one-year visiting professor position (start date Fall 2004), with a
possible extension of 2 additional years. Applicants should have a PhD in
experimental psychology (ABDs will also be considered). Teaching
responsibilities include undergraduate courses in introductory psychology,
research methods, learning and memory, sensation and perception, and possibly
physiological psychologyÂ. The successful applicant must have a firm
commitment to undergraduate teaching, and commitment to a research program
that can involve undergraduate students is preferred. Candidates should
submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching
philosophy, summary of teaching evaluations (if available), 3 letters of
recommendation, and supporting materials, to Dr. Deanna Dodson, Department of
Psychology, Lebanon Valley College, Annville, PA 17003. Review of
applications will begin April 15, 2004, however, applications will be
accepted until the position is filled. Lebanon Valley College is a
residential liberal arts institution ranked by US News and World Report in
the top tier of comparable institutions in the Northeast. The college enrolls
1540 full-time undergraduates and 600 part-time undergraduate/graduate
students, and is located in central Pennsylvania, 20 miles from the state
capital of Harrisburg, and within 2 hours driving time from Philadelphia,
