No, I thought it was fairly silly too. Though perhaps not so silly (in
light of lots of other published psychological research) that I would have

Hands up all those of you who think that treating *real* mental disorders
is ever going to prove to be as simple as having kids watch a farm animal
give birth.
I found it silly and simplistic in its design - but perhaps no more than
other dissertations I have seen. The goat certainly made it stand out -
but I don't think it made it any "worse" per se.
I do thing it is a reasonable hypothesis that meaningful exposure to animal
husbandry will have a positive impact on the mentally ill. Sadly, that
hypothesis was not adequately assessed in the present study.
