No slur against Medieval stone masons intended. Hard-working folk who took pride in their work, no doubt. If only our students with their computers and other technological trappings could achieve as much. For that matter, how many professors have produced the equivalent of a cathedral in their work? Cathedrals usually last longer than academic publications too. I vote for medieval stone masons as a source of inspiration, not aspersion.
