Michael- The "draw" in boxing is random. I think, but haven't checked, that heats etc in many sports are also not ranked.

Boxing is a good example of match design based on age range and other factors.Heavy weight.middle weight and so on are within specific parameters.But the Chinese seem to have flaunted the criteria.Not too many shorties in U.S basketball.
Michael Phelps was aided by his physiognomic advantage.
Btw,is there any data on height and academic selection?.Is the taller app;icant more likely to be hired as a psych prof?
