Dear Tipsters,
As someone who has been a co-author on a recent paper on this topic (we
compared Anglophones and Francophones in Quebec), here is a comment.
1. The original article is not yet available so we cannot comment on the
accuracy of the story.
2. The subtitle implies that the research is about perception, but the text
seems to suggest it is about perception and about measured traits.
3. The text does not do a very good job of clearly separating these. This is
important because there is research showing that perceptions do not usually
match the results from measuring the traits.
4. I wonder what the effect sizes of any differences will be?
Sincerely,
Stuart
