{ am still trying to figure out the purpose of this post.Dig every field or perspective in psychology has a history from the early deginnings to later modifications and expansions. In this regard I can think of Piaget's epistemology of the principle of assimilation and accommodation which can be applied to most perspective. So what if the field has changed or gone through an evolution. Hey dudes and dudettes, you should read Thomas Kuhn " The structure of scientific revolutions" where he discusses adaptation to the changing zeitgeist. Btw.it may not be possible to get all the information from one text. The best teachers I have had have been those who com[lement lecture and text materials with their own past and advanced materials not in the text and give assignments for further explorations by students.
