Carol- The AKC site contains some information- see: http://www.akc.org/breeders/resp_breeding/Articles/careandfeeding2.cfm It does say some dams are anorexic after whelping but that all care should be taken to increase their caloric intake. If she's totally lost appetite then you may need help- the suggestions for diet seem to include diets of cat lactation focus due to high caloric values. I have a friend who is a breeder who might know. I'll email and ask her but she may also be unavailable as she is often at a cabin out of cell range during holidays.
