At its inception,I had a post that had serious implications throughout Tipsville. The post addressed the issue of classes that met on MWF and those that met twice a week usually Tuesday and Thursday. A student taking a MWF would usually get 50 mins to take an exam, whereas a student taking a T Th class would have about 80 mins to take the exam.I stated the position that this was unfair to the MWF and suggested that exam time should be equalized. How this could be done was left at the discretion of the prof.I suggested that MWF students should be given time to accomplish this by being allowed a second class period to equalize the exam times for both sections. This post of mine probably had more implications for teaching and assessment than all other posts on Tips combined. I am tempted to name myself-tipster for all seasons.
