The one time that I had that happen, I graded the one assignment and then divided the
points equally between the two of them. The assignment was worth a total of 100
points and
the paper received an 80 something. Each got half or around 40.
I told them that as I had only really received one assignment and I did not know who
did
the work, that I was dividing the points between them both. They never did it again!
I now warn students that they can not simply print out two copies of an assignment
with
different names at the top and receive full credit. Prevention goes a long way :-)
