TIPSters,

I get TIPS in digest form, so forgive me if this suggestion has already
been made today. One book that I relied on heavily (and still do!) is Mark
Zanna and John Darley's (Eds.), _The Compleat Academic: A Practical Guide
for the Beginning Social Scientist_, published by Random House. It's a
dozen years old now, but still useful.
