Not quite - see below.

Perhaps, we read it into your post as you stated it was "part of our make-up". I
guess I am unclear as to how the word "historically" changes the essence of that
statement. You state it has been "part of our make-up" and now you argue that
you did not mean to infer that it is "part of our make-up". Can something be
"part of our make-up" throughout history and then suddenly change?
I don't the comments of Dr. Hulsizer or myself irresponsible considering the
wording of your post. Folks who have argued for violence as "part of our
make-up" as humans have included Freud and Lorenz. You also discuss how "we have
been good at it (as a species)". Again, this suggests an ethological approach.

I didn't realize that there was another Holocaust or genocide scholar on this
list. I would certainly love to discuss your work in this area with you. As
folks know who have been on the list for some time, my area of focus within this
domain is psychosocial models of genocide geared towards developing programs
aimed at prevention, intervention, conflict resolution, reconciliation, and
reconstruction. What is your focus? Perhaps, we have some common interests,
writings, and research.

Sorry to hear you are irritated.
