        Oh, I should have added something on that. I haven't taught experimental in
over a year, but when I do, I use "The Psychologist as Detective", by Randy
Smith and Steve Davis. The writing is overall quite good, and it has the
unique feature of using only student research projects as examples. I also
have students look through the published undergraduate research reports in
the Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research (which Steve Davis edits, and
a number of TIPSters review for). Students get interested in publishing
their research, and while I have yet to get a student even to the point of
submitting work for a journal, I've had quite a few inspired enough (by
reading other undergraduates' work) to do presentations or poster sessions
at one of the regional conferences (e.g., MPA).
