The psychology faculty here met yesterday and discussed developing a policy on extra credit. I remb I remember a thread about that on TIPS some time ago. There was a discussion on providing alternatives to participating in experiments and whether someone who arrives to participate in an experiment but then decides not to participate should receive extra credit.
