I apologize for bringing this up in the first place. I saw it as an
interesting statistical question: Why were the errors in the original vote
count apparently not randomly distributed with respect to
candidate? Statistical questions are of course extremely relevant to
teaching of psychology.
Sorry to have created problems. I would actually be interested in hearing
a few more responses to the original statistical question, though.
