Of course.  Whitehead and Russell to name just two in the 20th century
that come to mind.

But, I'd be careful about throwing myself prostrate before the god of
statistical data and reducing the complicated and complex human condition
to a bank of incomplete numbers subjectively interpreted.  Am I about to
get into trouble?
