Gosh, Michael, that reminds me of the time a student, who was inabsentia
during the entire term, came into my office saying he needed an "A" to
avoid the draft. I guess he thought he could get it without showing up
for class or taking any exams since I was one of the campus leaders
protesting the war. I told him that he should have thought of that at the
beginning of the term.

"Do I get the 'A?" He ask with half surprise and half anger.

"No."

"It'll be your fault if I get killed in some damn rice paddy," he yelled
at me.

"Where should I send the condolence flowers?" I calmly asked.

He stormed out, and got an "F."

Make it a good day.
