The headline from this article in the Atlanta-Journal Constitution says it all: http://www.ajc.com/news/researchers-men-want-sex-361309.html?cxtype=rss_news_128746
For a somewhat "straighter" treatment of the research study, Time.com has this story: http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1970975,00.html?xid=rss-fullhealthsci-yahoo And ticklers, er, sticklers for original sources, here is a link to the article in the British Medical Jorunal: http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/340/mar09_2/c810 Surprisingly, the conclusion of the article is quite limited: |Conclusion Sexual activity, good quality sexual life, and interest |in sex were higher for men than for women and this gender gap |widened with age. Sexual activity, quality of sexual life, and interest |in sex were positively associated with health in middle age and later |life. Sexually active life expectancy was longer for men, but men |lost more years of sexually active life as a result of poor health than |women. I remember a routine that Lenny Bruce used to do about guys pre-occupation with sex which I think kinda foreshadowed this result.
