The costs for these papers varies a lot - from about $8/page to $25+. The biggest difference in price are the quality of the paper (it's lower if the student is willing to accept a "B paper) and how quickly it's needed.
So far, the students we've caught in this have not been "wealthy" students. Rather, they were on student aid and would be better categorized in the "struggling" category. Perhaps the old adage, "You can afford what you think you really need" applies here. I read that the cost of cigarettes in New York is $10/pack. I see a corollary there, even if one could be an addiction. I've also read that some New Yorkers say they've stopped smoking because they can't afford it.
