Actually, I don't think psychologists are any better at figuring out
magic tricks than anyone else.
That's why Randi (and not a psychologist) found a new job.

Of course, the false bottom explanation doesn't require a psychologist
and is pretty much everyone's first guess.
The 'fun' of it (if you think trying to figure it out is fun) comes
when you try to account for the details.

For example, in the lady with the tiger, when he does the 360
walkaround you can see the bottom floor of the cabinet (by the
wheels), which gives a nice see through illusion (or are you really
seeing through it?).

Can a tiger actually fit in the space below the lady's feet? If so,
where are the air-holes hidden?
How exactly does one get a tiger to "pop out"?
If the tiger is in the hollow below the floor, how do you get a flat
floor again after the tiger "pops out"?
If the woman can 'scoot' out the back, why not just open the back door
and have someone bring the tiger in at the same time?
It's unusual for someone to wear a jacket and yet have nothing in the
pockets. Was the returned jacket (or the one he was wearing) a
duplicate?
