True, but the sources I link to make this point.  What I find troubling
is that the evidence of cannibalism is so recent and dependent upon
only on the child "Jane".  I suspect that there may be other persons
who were victims but not yet identified.  But if there are no others
found, then I think that casts some doubts about the cannibalism
interpretation.

To Chris Green: And a "Court of the Crimson King" right back at you.
I admit that this was a fallback "title" after I couldn't come up with
something snappy using the Donner Party (I believe "Donner House
Party" would have been too peripheral a reference).
