My very favoritest holiday of the year! I really dislike darkness--something that has gotten worse as I've aged and my eyesight isn't what it used to be. Festivus signals the stop of increasing darkness times and the beginning of increasing lightness time. Ah! What could be better? :)
Teaching relation: diminishing eyesight with age and for me, diminishing depth perception in particular so that driving becomes more of a challenge. Didn't stop me driving 9 hours each way to see my kids and grand kids this week :) Of course, I probably could have limited the 9 hours to daylight but I had to drive through LA. Enough said! All driving is rearranged to minimize traffic through LA and the OC. Annette Annette Kujawski Taylor, Ph. D.
