Okay.. I hope someone can help me.. I have Directv with TiVo and 6.2 was upgraded yesterday. Here is what's happening:
When transferring from Tivo to DVD when I use the "save to vcr" function and edit out the commercials, a small video box with the word rec appears when I hit pause on my recorder and pause again after I ff thru the commercials. When playing back the disc.. the video box is there for a few seconds.. very annoying. I did try just hitting Play.. and this didn't happen.. but I like the "save to vcr" function because of the title page on the black screen that comes up. Also.. AFTER transferring from VIDEO to DVD, not TIVO to DVD.. when I'm inserting title and chapter names it does thing to my Tivo.. I don't know how to explain this.. I know it sounds crazy.. but while I'm using my recorder remote to insert the letters.. after hitting each letter, I can HEAR the tivo doing things.. making those little bleeps..when I finally get done..I'm either on a channel that is way out there.. OR I'm actually recording something. It's like with every letter I pressed I was telling the TiVo to do something. Please tell me that this is happening to others.. and I'm not nuts. None of this happened before the upgrade. I pray that I don't have to rewire my entire system.. I think my husband will shoot himself. Also.. My info button is all screwed up.. I can't get it to give me the channel w/ synopsis anymore.. it keeps going back to just the small little box with the channel. If I have to "reset" what exactly will this do? What will I lose?
