I played with the newly installed Tivo Desktop on my PCs. Am I missing it or there is really no interface with the TD to actually control Tivo off your PC? - you can only transfer? I'd like to be able to access Tivo control panels via my PC at home?
Also, speed of transfer, I have upgraded the network on the most recent LinkSys whatever wireless router with 3 antennae and got a good stable signal throughout the house, however, it takes like 1 hour to download a 30 min program onto a PC. It takes like 10 min to transfer them from PC to PC over the same wireless network, so I was wondering what's the story? I have NetGear's TiVo compatible USB adapter. Is this really that slow? Is there any way to speed it up? Also, Online Scheduling could be done better. Since I am on a network, I'd assume that when I log onto Online Scheduling Tivo server immediately connects to my box and checks the schedule and everything so you can see what you have recorded and there are no conflicts. This interface is really awkward. You have to wait till next synching/ program download whenever it takes place for changes. Sincerely, IGGY Dybal ------------------------ Yahoo!
